Fun in Acapulco - PJ Proby

As with Slowly but Surely below, this is another of PJ Proby's demo's for Elvis and again the song is written by Ben Weisman and Sid Wayne who wrote over 50 songs for Elvis. Below - the video has the Proby demo followed by Elvis's version of the song.

Recorded by Elvis at the Fun in Acapulco recording sessions January 1963 at Radio Recorders, Hollywood. for the film of the same name - released in 1964.

Note in the Proby version the end tag line is 'There's work to be done' and in the Presley version it's 'this is time for fun' fitting in with the title hook.
